St Albans U3A

Our group was formed in 2013 and is now well established. There is no need to have any knowledge of this pastime to join; you will find we are a friendly mix, ranging from novices to those with a variety of experience.  We can offer individual assistance and guidance for those new to the subject, apart from the help which is always available for any member. 

At every meeting there is a talk or discussion topic and all of this takes place in the relaxing atmosphere of various members’ homes. Our meetings begin leisurely, with refreshments and friendly chat; this is followed by the topic for discussion, or speaker for the afternoon. These always generate members’ participation, whether to question or comment. To round off the meeting there is time for general discussion. This can involve our own problems, when frequently there will be an answer or other suggestions; others may tell of their recent triumphs. Our wish is that you will enjoy the whole afternoon and importantly, benefit from the topic or discussions. 

We have occasional visits to places of interest.

Our Programme is decided by the group to give a good range of topics.
