St Albans U3A

We meet on the Third Wednesday of the month at 2:30pm at a member’s home.

The group is an enjoyable environment for members to extend their knowledge of jazz and consider their likes and dislikes. Each member presents a topic once a year to widen & further everyone’s interest.

Members have a broad view of jazz – it’s a wide spectrum anyway. We’re happy to include its influences and music that jazz & blues has influenced.

Topics have included:

Stage Musicals and their Impact on Jazz;

Early Ball and Bilk;

Swing era Big Bands;

The Dankworth Dynasty, and many others.
