We are a group of people who just enjoy reading different plays, people who do not need to have had Am-Dram experience. Don’t think you have to be a budding thespian.
We get our plays from the Performing Arts Lending Library in Welwyn Garden City. The hire cost is shared between those who are able to attend each month. Usually a maximum of 50p. Our choice of plays has been fairly wide with an attempt to try most genres but we have not felt up to trying Shakespeare!
Some of us have visited the Abbey Theatre and Shaw’s Corner together. We rotate the homes we meet in between those members who are willing and able to seat the whole group.
